Juliet Lloyd who has worked as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at the practice for many years will be leaving the practice on the 4th March, we will all miss Juliet. Michelle Dimmock, Advanced Nurse Practitioner will join the practice on the 1st March.

** FLU CLINICS 2020 *** We have now written to all patients that are eligible for the flu vaccination (those patients aged over 65 as at the 31/3/2021 and all those patients under 65 who have a medical condition who puts them at greater risk. If you are over 65 or under 65 in an at risk category or are a family member of  those patients asked to shield and would like to book a flu jab please contact us urgently. We have also contacted parents/guardians of children that are eligible.

Carers

We know that carers are often “hidden” looking after a family member or helping a friend or neighbour with day-to-day tasks and may not see themselves as a carer.

Caring for someone is an important and valuable role in the community, which is often a 24-hour job that can be very demanding and isolating for the carer.  Carers should receive appropriate support by way of access to accurate information on a range of topics such as entitlement to benefits and respite care and not least, a listening ear when things get too much.h

As a Carer, you are also entitled to have your needs assessed by Adult Care Services.  A Carer’s Assessment is a chance to talk about your needs as a carer and the possible ways help could be given. It also looks at the needs of the person you care for. There is no charge for an assessment.

Also please ensure that you let us know that you are a carer.
